POET Receives “Ethanol Producer of the Year” Award

Tuesday, January 7, 2020

SIOUX FALLS, SD (January 7, 2020) – POET has been named Ethanol Producer of the Year by Corporate Vision Magazine. The announcement is part of the magazine’s annual Energy Innovator Awards program. POET as recognized for its innovative work to develop efficiencies in the ethanol production process and create new renewable products to replace petroleum-based products, which contributes to a world of cleaner and safer energy.

The stakes have never been higher to address the climate crisis. What used to be considered an issue for the future is now a challenge for all of us today. POET’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions remains a guiding force for everything the company does.

“If we want to return to a healthy, sustainable planet, it’s more important now than ever to literally return to our roots. For thousands of years, humans lived without extracting petroleum from the planet, and we can do it again. It’s a little-known fact that everything that comes from crude oil can be produced from crops and biomass grown on the surface of the Earth, and that biofuel and bioproducts derived from agriculture have the potential to replace fossil fuels. The agricultural potential of the world is virtually untapped, making it the best near-term solution to fight the effects of climate change” said POET Founder and CEO Jeff Broin.

The Energy Innovator Awards aim to showcase and celebrate the tenacity and determination of the leading companies and individuals who strive for excellence in the global energy sector with an emphasis on renewable and energy-efficient solutions and technology.

Corporate Vision Magazine Awards Coordinator Kaven Cooper shares pride in how far the winning organizations have come: “From engineering and manufacturing, to those who provide cutting-edge renewable solutions and sustainable technologies, we are proud to recognise all companies who fall within the spectrums of power and energy. Congratulations to all my winners and best of luck creating unique solutions in the future!”
