POET Biomass

POET is dedicated to the future of biofuels -- making ethanol not only from corn, but also plant materials like corn cobs, switch grass, wood chips and even refuse. And POET is also tapping into these materials as a source of alternative energy that will continue to make ethanol more and more environmentally friendly.

POET Biomass is focused on efficient and economical sourcing and delivery of the biomass materials required for POET's cellulosic ethanol and alternative energy projects -- ranging from corn cobs, to waste wood, to engineered or alternative fuels to soil amendment products.

POET Biomass is currently working with farmers to identify best practices for the cob collection equipment and storage methods that will help to ensure the success of POET's cellulosic ethanol initiative called Project LIBERTY, as well as sourcing and supplying non-petroleum materials to be used as alternative energy to power POET's alternative energy projects.
